Premium seafood and advanced aquaculture technology

Premium here means a written, checkable specification — grade, count, trim, documents and destination approvals — not a luxury label. Each page sets out the criteria and the risks.

Short answer: Premium seafood is bought on a written specification: grade or count, presentation, honest net weight, lot residue documents and destination approvals. FishMatch lists the criteria for black tiger and large-count shrimp, Atlantic salmon and CITES-regulated caviar, plus advanced RAS, precision feeding and smart monitoring.

Our premium selection criteria

  • Written specification

Grade, count or size band, presentation, trim and packing are written in the RFQ — premium is the specification, not a label.

  • Lot documents

Residue tests from accredited laboratories, health certificates and traceability per lot.

  • Destination approvals

Establishment approval or registration for the destination (e.g. EU lists, China's Decree 280 registration).

  • Honest weights

Net weight after glaze removal; added water and treatments declared.

  • Cold chain

Freezing method, temperature target and records from plant to port.
