Sourcing support and confidentiality
FishMatch provides human-reviewed sourcing and procurement preparation, not an automatic marketplace. Buyers pay no fee, and suppliers cannot pay for ranking or shortlist position. The platform is supplier-funded. Submitting a brief does not automatically route it to suppliers or authorize outreach on your behalf.
Supplier company names, websites, email addresses, telephone numbers and sensitive supplier documents are not disclosed to buyers through the platform. Comparisons use anonymized references. A listing, document review or shortlist is not an audit, certification, endorsement or guarantee of suitability, availability or performance.
RFQs: qualification and contractual limits
Managed aquaculture infrastructure and equipment procurement starts at a project budget of USD 250,000. Lower-budget requests are retained and flagged for self-service guidance rather than placed in the managed RFQ queue. Free guides and planning tools remain available. The separate farmed-seafood brief is qualified by commercial product specification, volume and frequency, destination and logistics; the equipment-project minimum does not apply to food orders.
An RFQ is a request for human review, not a purchase order, accepted quotation, supplier commitment or binding contract. A submission or acknowledgement does not guarantee a shortlist, quote, response time, price, delivery, certification or project acceptance. Scope, specifications, currency, taxes, delivery terms, warranties and acceptance criteria must be confirmed in the applicable written agreement before a commitment is made.
FishMatch does not claim live seafood inventory, verified stock, guaranteed matches, escrow or completed transactions. Buyers should obtain independent technical and legal advice and arrange the licensing, environmental, import and food-safety checks that apply to them. References to authorities or institutions do not imply permits, partnerships or endorsement.
Regulatory responsibilities
Global B2B Group and its platforms, including FishMatch Group, are committed to conducting their own activities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. FishMatch facilitates sourcing and RFQs for aquaculture, seafood, fish and shrimp products, equipment and services; it does not itself manufacture, process, export or sell the listed products and does not grant regulatory approval.
Each participant is responsible for the legal requirements that apply to its own role. Suppliers, producers and exporters are responsible, under applicable law, for ensuring that the products they offer and supply meet the product, safety, quality, licensing, certification, labelling, traceability, sanitary or phytosanitary, export, customs and documentation requirements of the origin and destination jurisdictions, where relevant — for example health certificates and catch or production records for fish, shrimp and live aquatic animals, or conformity rules for equipment. Buyers and importers remain responsible for their own import permissions, local requirements and due diligence.
Requirements differ by product and jurisdiction; no single checklist applies everywhere. This allocation applies as far as applicable law allows: it does not move duties that the law places on any party, including FishMatch, and it is not legal advice. Our team's reasonable checks before an RFQ moves forward are not a guarantee of any supplier's compliance. See Regulation & responsibilities for the official sources we have checked.
1. What FishMatch Group is NOT
FishMatch Group is not, and does not act as:
- a fish farm, shrimp farm, hatchery or aquaculture operator;
- a seafood producer or processor;
- a veterinarian, aquatic-animal health specialist or biosecurity auditor;
- an engineering, biological, water-quality or environmental consultant;
- an equipment manufacturer, distributor, agent or installer;
- a logistics, freight-forwarding, cold-chain, customs or inspection provider;
- an insurer, broker of record or claims handler;
- a lender, bank, credit provider, investment advisor;
- a party to any supply, engineering, EPC, construction, installation, service, insurance or financing contract.
FishMatch Group does not control, and does not guarantee, fish or shrimp survival, mortality, biological performance, feed conversion, growth or harvest yields, water quality, disease prevention, biosecurity, another party's environmental compliance, permitting outcomes, production economics or any other biological, technical or commercial result of farms, products or projects it helps source. This does not limit any duty that applicable law places on FishMatch Group for its own activities.
2. Third-party technical & biological information
Product specifications, biological data, drawings, certifications, warranties, prices, lead times, delivery schedules, imagery and Supplier profiles originate from Suppliers, EPC contractors, technology providers, financing partners or other third parties and may change without notice. FishMatch Group does not independently verify, endorse, guarantee or warrant any third-party information. Buyers remain responsible for their own engineering validation, biological management, veterinary supervision, water quality, biosecurity, environmental compliance, permitting and commercial due diligence before entering into any agreement; suppliers remain responsible for the products they offer and supply, as described under Regulatory responsibilities.
3. Informational content only
Articles, guides, calculators, comparison tools, planning templates, buyer / supplier guides, country intelligence and any other resources on this website are provided for general informational purposes only. They are not, and do not constitute:
- professional engineering advice for RAS, ponds, cages, hatcheries, processing lines or cold-chain systems;
- aquaculture consulting, farm management, biosecurity or veterinary guidance;
- environmental impact assessment or regulatory compliance advice;
- financial, tax, legal, insurance or investment advice.
Users must retain qualified independent professionals before making design, procurement, biological, regulatory or investment decisions.
4. Calculators, comparisons and planning tools
All calculators, ROI models, TCO comparisons, sizing tools, biomass planners, oxygen or water-exchange estimators and similar utilities produce indicative estimates only. Results depend on species, genetics, climate, feed, water source, site conditions, energy prices, regulatory environment and many other variables the tool cannot verify. Do not rely on any output as a design, engineering, financial or investment decision.
5. Financing information
Financing content is provided for informational purposes only. FishMatch Group is not a lender, bank, credit provider, investment advisor, and does not guarantee financing approval, funding availability, timing, pricing or commercial terms. FishMatch provides procurement project preparation and may discuss an optional introduction only after separate recipient-specific explicit consent, provider confirmation and local legal review. Readiness checklists are not credit decisions, pre-approval, offers, underwriting or recommendations. Availability is subject to provider confirmation and local law. Categories or institutions cited are examples, not partnerships, endorsements or available offers. The referral/packaging/compensation model requires local counsel review; no categorical regulatory exemption is asserted.
Data sharing and separate financing consent
RFQs, contact details, project files and consent records are handled privately by authorized FishMatch team members and service processors as described in the Privacy Policy. This project does not transfer CRM leads to parent or sister-platform dashboards. A general RFQ, financing-interest checkbox or internal approval does not authorize disclosure to a financing provider.
Before any provider transfer, FishMatch must disclose the proposed recipient, exact data categories, purpose, destination countries, applicable transfer safeguards, retention terms and withdrawal process. Fresh, separate, explicit recorded consent, provider confirmation and country-specific legal clearance are required. No financing request is automatically dispatched to providers; sharing remains blocked until these requirements are satisfied.
Do not include unnecessary personal financial records or sensitive documents in free-text fields. No automatic deletion deadline is currently implemented; retention depends on the service purpose and applicable lawful obligations. You may request access, correction or deletion, or withdraw consent for future sharing, as described in the financing consent and privacy policy. Withdrawal does not undo lawful prior processing or automatically erase copies held by an independent recipient.
6. AI content disclaimer
Portions of the Platform — including calculators, insights, summaries, translations, buyer / supplier matching, RFQ enrichment, planning suggestions and chat responses — are generated or assisted by artificial-intelligence models. AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or misleading. It does not constitute engineering, biological, veterinary, legal, tax, financial or investment advice. Users must independently verify AI output before relying on it.
7. Third-party services & external links
The Platform may reference or integrate with independent third parties (Suppliers, financiers, standards bodies, government programs, hosting, analytics, email, messaging, AI models, KYC providers, publications and other websites). FishMatch Group does not control and is not responsible for third-party availability, accuracy, security, terms, pricing or content. Inclusion of a reference or link does not imply endorsement.
8. No warranties
All information on this website is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express, implied or statutory — including, to the maximum extent permitted by law, warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security or uninterrupted availability.
9. Limitation of liability & Force Majeure
Liability limits and events outside our control are addressed in the Terms of Service and any applicable written agreement, subject to governing law. Nothing on this page excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or removes mandatory statutory rights. This disclaimer does not replace a negotiated contract or advice from qualified local counsel.
