Technical deviations matter more than price
A supplier who quotes a smaller biofilter is not cheaper — they are quoting a different farm. Deviations are listed one by one and the buyer decides which are acceptable, rather than discovering them during commissioning.
How the introduction actually happens

How to compare shrimp and fish farm equipment quotes line by line
Two quotes for the same farm routinely differ by forty percent, and the lower one is rarely cheaper. Shrimp farm equipment quotes cluster around a handful of lots — aeration, pumping, liners, feeders, water quality monitoring and harvest handling — and each has a familiar trap. Aeration is quoted as paddlewheel units rather than as installed kW per hectare at your target biomass, so two offers can look identical and deliver different oxygen. Pumps are quoted at a duty point nobody checked against the real static head. Liners are quoted by thickness without UV grade or welding scope. Feeders are quoted without control, mounting or spares.
Compare them by duty and delivered scope, not by unit count: installed aeration kW per hectare, pumped exchange in percent of pond volume per day, liner grade with installation and welding included, feeder throughput with control and mounting. Then ask each supplier the same three post-sale questions — spares lead time, service coverage in your country, and warranty start date — because on shrimp projects those decide the operating cost far more than the purchase price does. The same discipline applies when comparing fish farm equipment suppliers for RAS and cage projects: drum filters by screen area and backwash volume, biofilters by media volume at your TAN load, oxygen systems by transfer efficiency at your flow — never by headline package price.
