Indonesia Shrimp Farm Equipment & Turnkey Planning
Plan commercial shrimp farm equipment or a turnkey scope in Indonesia from your species, annual harvest target, island site and measured water conditions. Compare ponds, biofloc and RAS against the same duties and responsibilities—not a promised yield or catalogue package.
For commercial projects of USD 250,000 or more. Free planning tools remain available at every project size.

Local sourcing guidance for Indonesia
Approvals: OSS risk-based licensing and KKP requirements
PP 28/2025 updates Indonesia’s risk-based business licensing framework. Confirm the activity classification, risk level and current procedure; an NIB alone does not complete every site approval. KKP Regulation 22/2024 addresses CBIB good grow-out practices, not a replacement for spatial, environmental, water or discharge permissions.
Site: island, receiving port and delivery to the farm
Name the island, receiving port, onward transport and lifting constraints. Request a clear boundary between port delivery and installed equipment at the farm, including travel, commissioning, spare parts and repair support. Compare IDR operating costs with the stated currency of imported equipment; obtain current freight, duties and tax advice from a broker.
Shrimp: site-specific pond intensification, nursery and grow-out
Document wet- and dry-season source water, pond dimensions, drainage and sludge removal. Separate nursery and grow-out aeration and feeding duties. Ask for tested oxygen-transfer performance, actual power demand, backup supply and water-treatment assumptions; a biofloc or lined-pond package is not evidence of guaranteed survival or output.
What must a turnkey shrimp farm proposal include?
Define who owns site studies, engineering, civil works, intake and effluent treatment, equipment integration, installation, commissioning, operator training and acceptance tests. Separate owner responsibilities, exclusions and local approvals. FishMatch prepares and reviews procurement briefs; it is not the designer, contractor or performance guarantor. Service coverage and available providers require project-specific confirmation.
Ponds or RAS: how should buyers decide?
Compare lawful water supply and discharge, seasonal chemistry, land, power resilience, staff capability and maintenance access. RAS needs a defined solids-removal, biofilter, oxygen and degassing loop; biofloc needs its own mixing, solids and aeration strategy. Neither label proves lower cost, better survival or approval. Other Southeast Asian sites need their own authority, currency and delivery review; Indonesian rules are not regional rules.
How should stocking, aeration, water and feed be specified?
Provide species and life stage, proposed stocking density with its source, survival and FCR assumptions, peak daily feed in kg/day and biomass profile. Annual tonnes alone cannot size oxygen or treatment. Provide seasonal laboratory water tests, pump flow in m³/h at total head in m, aeration duty and emergency requirements. Specify feed pellet range, dosing, storage and cleaning; health-document checks and risk-based biosecurity remain separate from equipment claims.
Which CAPEX/OPEX inputs belong in the calculator?
Use IDR for locally quoted operating costs and keep imported equipment in its quoted currency until you record a dated conversion. Separate installed CAPEX, one-cycle or annual OPEX and pre-revenue cash timing. Supply actual feed prices, electricity tariff and duty hours, labour, seed costs and saleable harvest assumptions; mark unknowns instead of zero. Calculator outputs are illustrative, not local prices, bank terms or production guarantees.
What happens after I submit, and what is verified?
You submit a private brief with scope, country/site, target capacity, budget band, timeline and explicit consent. Human review precedes any provider contact; supplier identities remain private. No stock, supplier coverage, certification, quotation or match is promised. Managed infrastructure procurement is free to buyers for projects from USD 250,000; free guides and tools remain available for smaller projects.
Evidence to include in your private brief
- Province or state, site coordinates, land rights, approval status and unresolved authority questions.
- Shrimp species and life stage; seed and health-document requirements; nursery and grow-out boundaries.
- Land in ha, water volume in m³, measured pumping flow in m³/h at total head, target biomass in kg and harvest in tonnes/year.
- Seasonal water tests, intake and discharge, sludge handling, power in kW, energy in kWh and emergency backup.
- Budget and currency, delivery point, installation, spares, training, acceptance tests and explicit exclusions.
Calculator outputs are scenarios, not local prices, engineering specifications or guaranteed results. Use measured inputs and qualified site review.
The first human response is within one business day. Supplier quotation timing depends on the project and supplier response; no turnaround is guaranteed. Smaller requests are saved and directed to free tools, not sent to the procurement queue.

Short answer
What is the fastest way to get quotes for Indonesia?
Submit one structured request for Indonesia. FishMatch Group translates it into a technical RFQ, runs a confidential sourcing round with project-matched international suppliers, and returns comparable quotations. No fee is charged to the buyer, and your identity and project details stay private until you choose to proceed.
- How it works:
- One structured request, human-reviewed before any supplier outreach
- Typical turnaround:
- Depends on scope and site data; no turnaround is guaranteed
- Confidentiality:
- Supplier names are never exposed during evaluation
- Cost to buyers:
- No fee charged to the buyer

Supplier selection criteria
How should a buyer compare aquaculture suppliers?
Compare on evidence, not on presentation: delivered projects at a similar scale and climate, engineering support during design, lead time commitments, spare-part and service availability in your region, certification and testing documentation, payment and warranty terms, and willingness to quote against your specification rather than substituting a catalogue package.
What are the warning signs in a supplier quotation?
Treat these as review triggers: no itemised scope, guaranteed biological or financial performance, no named delivery terms or lead time, no spare-parts or service statement, unclear responsibility for installation and commissioning, and equipment sizing that does not reference your water temperature, oxygen demand or biomass targets.
How does FishMatch handle supplier selection?
FishMatch is an independent sourcing service, not a manufacturer or reseller. The buyer submits one structured project request; our team reviews it first and only then contacts suitable suppliers on the buyer's behalf, presenting their responses through FishMatch in a comparable format. Buyers do not contact suppliers directly and nothing is sent automatically. The final choice stays with the buyer.
